Telangana Governor: No Invitation sent to attend Secretariat inauguration

The state government and the Governor have been at loggerheads for at least the last year.

The statement further read, “Raj Bhavan further makes it clear that no invitation whatsoever has been sent to the Governor inviting her to the inauguration of the new Secretariat Building, and this has been the precise and sole reason for her non-attendance at the inauguration of new secretariat building.”

CM KCR inaugurated Dr. BR Ambedkar Secretariat building on Sunday. The building has a height of 265 feet in an area of 7,79,982 square feet on 28 acres.

The state government and the Governor have been at loggerheads for at least the last year. The Governor said repeatedly that the state government does not follow protocol while KCR government claims that the Governor speaks for the BJP.


telangana Governor’s office on Tuesday denied that the Governor was invited for the Secretariat inauguration by the state government on April 30.

In a statement released by the Raj Bhavan, the Press Secretary said, “Raj Bhavan vehemently denies the baseless and false allegation that an invitation has been extended to the Governor for the inauguration of the New Secretariat Building by the State Government and that, in spite of the extension of the invitation the Governor didn’t attend the programme.
